CME Group is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer / Analyst to join our data and analytics team. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain the data pipelines and systems that power insights across our media and business operations. You will combine strong technical expertise with analytical thinking to deliver reliable, high-quality data that supports decision-making across all CME companies.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Data Engineering
- Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and workflows for efficient data processing.
- Integrate and manage data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across platforms.
- Automate data processes and monitor performance of data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage access, storage, and security.
Data Analysis
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to generate actionable business and audience insights.
- Prepare and visualize data for internal and external reporting.
- Contribute to improving data models, systems, and reporting tools.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure accurate and available data.
- Support reporting and analytical initiatives across departments.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Proven experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL tools or modern data platforms.
- Familiarity with Python or another scripting language is an advantage.
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
- Excellent communication skills in English; other CEE languages are a plus.
