Renáta and Petr Kellner set up their family foundation in 2009 with the belief that the way to satisfaction and success leads through quality education. Therefore, they chose education as its focus.

A large portion of the donations go towards scholarships for Open Gate grammar school students and Czech students studying at universities abroad. Helping Schools Succeed is a foundation project that focuses on training teachers and developing reading, writing, and critical literacy skills in public primary schools.

In 2010, The Kellner Family Foundation merged with the Educa Foundation, which the Kellners had used as a vehicle to develop education in the Czech Republic between 2002 and 2010.
