PPF Group | SCT Cell Manufacturing (SCTbio)

As the servicing organisation for SOTIO Group companies and external partners, SCTbio manufactures investigational medicinal products based on cell therapies intended for the treatment of cancer. SCTbio also provides SOTIO and external partners with logistics and other services related to the development and manufacture of autologous and allogeneic advanced therapy medicinal products, including viral vectors.

In 2025, SCTbio signed several new contracts with external partners, including CCRM Nordic, Oslo University Hospital, and Fortrea. These collaborations significantly expand opportunities to leverage the company’s capabilities.

SCTbio was established on July 1, 2021, as a standalone member of the PPF Group. Our core team carries a 16-year track record in drug development and manufacturing, much of which was forged during our tenure within SOTIO. Today, SCTbio operates a 2,000 m² Prague site integrating state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing, on-site cryostorage, and advanced technical infrastructure.

All of SOTIO’s cell and gene therapy GMP manufacturing capabilities were outsourced to SCTbio. With headquarters in Prague and offices in Boston, SCTbio manages a global network of 150+ apheresis sites and supports multi-indication clinical programs from early stage through Phase III and later stages.

The company offers full services covering GMP production of ATMPs including genetically modified cell lines and viral vectors. SCTbio leverages 16 years of experience (encompassing delivering 12,000+ IMPs and collecting 3,000+ leukapheresis products) to provide process development, manufacturing, quality control, QA/QP release, and proprietary logistics services to deliver high-quality collaboration for global CDMO needs.
