Making financial market opportunities more accessible to the general public is an obvious and positive trend in Western Europe and the United States. Air Bank, as a leader in Czech digital banking, is now bringing its clients the online investment platform Portu, which allows them to quickly and easily invest, directly from within the My Air mobile app.

Using Portu, customers can invest their money in exchange-traded funds (known as ETFs for short), which focus on the development of entire stock market indices. For many small and large investors, this is an attractive investment option because they are spared the multiple fees they would otherwise have to pay for trading individual stocks in different sectors. ETFs therefore make for an affordable option for the general public to increase the value of their own savings.

Air Bank customers can invest as little as CZK 1,000 and build a portfolio made up of stocks in their preferred sectors. The management of their investments is handled by Portu’s financial experts, with the help of advanced automation and Portu’s own unique software.

Air Bank’s long-term growth is based on extensive digitalisation and a customer-centric approach. This, of course, has implications for the entire banking market in the Czech Republic, as has already been demonstrated in the case of the shift of Czech banks from absurd fees to a greater emphasis on modernising their services. This move is the logical continuation of the development of digitalisation in the Czech banking market, including enabling investment for the general public.

The Portu service is operated by the financial group WOOD & Company.
