Leoš Rousek, whose previous role was press spokesperson for PPF, became the new Director of Communications for PPF Group on 1 July 2021.

In addition to communicating with the media, Rousek will now also focus on developing relations with investors, especially in the financial and banking sectors. This relates to the recent move from the Netherlands to the Czech Republic of the registered office of PPF Financial Holdings, which covers the Group’s investments in banking and consumer finance.

Rousek took over management of the Group’s communications team from Radim Ochvat, who in six years as Director of Communications has significantly contributed to increasing the visibility of PPF and its companies in the media and social networks.

Rousek moved to PPF headquarters this spring from his role as a senior researcher in investor relations and external communications at PPF’s subsidiary Home Credit International. Before joining Home Credit International, he worked as an investor relations consultant and economic journalist. He ran the office of the Dow Jones Newswires news agency in Moscow and Prague, then served as a senior correspondent for the Wall Street Journal for Central and Eastern Europe. He also worked at the Economia media house as chief economic analyst at Hospodářské noviny.

Rousek is a graduate of Columbia University in New York, where he earned a master’s degree in international relations and international business. He also studied English and American Studies at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University.
