Acquisition of the world-renowned builder of Leopard sail and power catamarans for the global export market will further expand PPF’s products and services in its nautical division. Leopard catamarans are sold primarily on the US market and to a lesser extent in Europe.
PPF sees long-term potential for value creation in the global nautical business, which is one of the fastest growing segments of the leisure and travel industry. PPF is looking forward to working with R&C’s management to fulfil its existing commitments for sail and power catamarans and to help develop future Leopard boats.
The acquisition of R&C is expected to close in the second quarter of this year, subject to customary regulatory clearance by the South African authorities.
