Vladimír Mlynář joins PPF as ExCo member

Says Jiří Šmejc, PPF Group shareholder: „Vladimír Mlynář will be of a contribution to PPF. His analytical and communication skills, as well as his knowledge of public and state administration will help the Group to formulate more precisely and actively its new activities towards public sector and the society as a whole.“
Until June 2010, Vladimír Mlynář was Chief Adviser to the Czech Prime Minister, Jan Fischer. Previously he has been working as adviser at Telefonica O2. During the years 2002-2005 he was Informatics Minister of the Czech Government and had been elected repeatedly as Member of the Czech Parliament. He had joined the politics in 1998 as a member of Josef Tošovský government, after leaving a successful career in the media. In the 1990s Vladimír Mlynář worked as Editor-in-Chief of Respekt magazine and as an anchorman of various TV debates; he had been awarded by several awards for journalism. Prior to the year 1989, Vladimír Mlynář belonged to active members of the anti-communist opposition and had been persecuted for his anti-regime activities. Vladimír Mlynář is married for the second time, with three sons.
